2010 - BROOKS welcomes triple Ironman world champion Chrissie Wellington into its family of sponsored athletes. Chrissie goes on to smash the world record for the Iron-distance triathlon in Roth, Germany on July 18. With a finishing time of 8:19:13, she shaves 12 minutes and 48 seconds off the previous record…held by herself.
2010 - Runner's World honours the Ghost 3 with its esteemed "Editors Choice" award
2010 - BROOKS join forces with Prof. Dr. Gert-Peter Brüggemann and Prof. Dr. JosephHamill, two of the world's leading running biomechanics researchers, to conduct large retrospective and prospective studies on running motion, each intended to garner information that will influence and refine footwear design
2010 - BROOKS debuts the Green Silence, a groundbreaking performance running shoe that boasts a sustainable element in each part of the shoe
2010 - BROOKS introduces patent-pending DNA, an innovative, first-of-it-kind cushioning system that automatically and physically adapts with each foot strike to the ever-changing amount of force placed on the foot during the run
2009 - Runner's World awards the title of "best update" to the 10th iteration of the Adrenaline GTS
2008 - BROOKS earns three industry distinctions for environmental stewardship and eco-friendly technology
2008 - BROOKS introduces BioMoGo, the world‘s first bio-degradable midsole
2007 - The BROOKS / Hanson athletes, first and foremost Brian Sell, dominate the
US olympic marathon trials
2006 - MoGo, BROOKS‘ groundbreaking midsole-technology, enters the market
2004 - Introduction of the innovative e-Fusion technology that is used in all
BROOKS premium running shoes
2003 - Brooks begins a five-year cooperation with the Hanson Olympic Distance Project
with the goal of bringing the USA back to the top of mid- and long-distance-running
2002 - Brooks Adrenaline™ GTS receives Runner‘s World‘s „Best Update Award“ and
the gold medal for „Best Renovation“ from Running Network
2001 - Strategic decision to focus exlusively on running shoes, moving the revenue focus
to specialist retailers
1995 - Introduction of Podular Technology, the brand new Midsole/Outsole-technology
1994 - Introduction of the BROOKS Adrenaline™ GTS, the birth of a running-shoe star
that is still part of the BROOKS lineup today
1993 - The company relocates it‘s headquartes to Seattle and renames itself Brooks Sports, Inc.
1992 - Introduction of the Beast ®, the industry‘s best known Motion-Control running shoe
1991 - Brooks is awarded the „American Podiatric Medical Association Seal
of Acceptance“ for it‘s HydroFlow ®-Technology
1989 - HydroFlow ®, the innovative cushioning technology fur running shoes,
enters the market
1987 - Introduction of the „BROOKS For Women“ line of running shoes, the first
running shoes anatomically adjusted to women‘s needs
1982 - Introduction of the Chariot, equipped with the innovative BROOKS
Diagonal Rollbar (DRB ®) technology
1981 - BROOKS introduces it‘s line of running apparel
1977 - Introduction of the Vantage, the first running shoe that deals with the over-
pronation problem. The shoe was awarded Runner‘s World‘s „Five-Star Award“
1975 - BROOKS is the first company to use midsoles made of Ethylene-vinyl acetate
(EVA), making it one of the first sports shoes companies to use EVA, which
today is an industry standard
1957 - BROOKS becomes BROOKS Shoe Manufacturing Company, Inc.
1938 - BROOKS introduces Pedicraft kid‘s shoes, the first step in a long line of
developments leading to the integration of orthopedic findings and the
requirements of sports medicine
